Inquiry Week

This week has been very full of lots of learning.

Library Visit:

We got to check out the new school library. We loved walking around and looking at all the different books. After we checked our books out we found a comfy seat and read them.

Inquiry:

We have done a number of experiments this week to help us understand force and motion. Check them out.

Balloon Rockets:

Equipment: String, Balloons, Straws, Straws.

Xaviar: I am sticking on my straw with tape.

Tui: I am threading through the string. Its hard getting it through the straw but I did it.

Jennifer: I am blowing my balloon up. The balloon makes the rocket.

Dustin: I am about to let my rocket go. I wonder how far it would go?

Orlando: Ankush and I are taking turns with our rocket. My one went faster then Ankushs one.

Paper toss:

We wanted to see how much force we needed to use to get a paper ball close to the pin.

Bowling Pins:

We did another experiment to see how much force we need to knock all the pins down.
